Recording colours accurately
In enjoyed doing this exercise. It made me realise how much the previous work has taught me about mixing paints. The fabric I used is a batik and the colours are mottled and I felt it was a step too far to try to replicate the mottling. I found that when the paint dried the colour was lighter than I had anticipated. Next time I will make a paint a little darker and wait until the samples at the side of the page have dried before I launch into the real thing.
